NYX’s round lipstick in the shade Femme is one of those WOW! colors. It’s absolutely bright and quite orange for my taste. I’m not quite sure the shade suits my coloring yet, I just can’t seem to decide.
The formula is creamy, but doesn’t go on as smoothly as some of my MAC lipsticks. The color also doesn’t last as long, sadly. Some people like that though, that they have to reapply often. I don’t. It’s a matter of taste, really.
Here it is all on its own, no liner, no gloss:
You can tell some of the product seem to have stuck on in ridges on my lips, even though they were perfectly moisturized when I applied it. I tried layering it with a gloss, MAC’s Plushglass in Plus Luxe:
The blue sparkles in Plus Luxe easily makes a variety of shades more wearable for me. Still, I prefer the formula of MAC’s lipstick. The brighter and bolder the color of the lipstick is, the more important it is that it stays put and doesn’t bleed too much.
