Viva Glam VI SE is my most recent lipstick purchase. It’s also the first lipstick I’ve ever tried used. Sounds disgusting? I know. But lipsticks are one of the easiest cream products to sanitize. Ever tried on a lipstick at a MAC counter? If you asked a sales associate first, you maybe have (hopefully) noticed her dipping it into alcohol prior to you putting it on your lips. That kills all germs that could’ve been there, and was the same procedure I used before I tried this one on.
Onto the shade. It’s a lustre, and quite a sheer mauvy-pink. It reminds me very much of Syrup, I’d say the base colours are quite similar, except this one doesn’t have the same mauvy-blue sheen. Since it’s quite sheer, it will be easier to wear, because the colour merges with the colour of your own lips. For me, this doesn’t make my lips any darker or lighter (mine are very pigmented), so it’s very easy to wear without having to think too much of the rest of my makeup.
Plus, the entire amount goes to the MAC Aids Fund, same as all the other Viva Glam products. Hooray!
