Stars n Rockets meets Violet pigment and Sushi Flower

I finally bought my first fullsize pigment! Violet was the one I wanted to take home with me. My plans were different though: I started buying pigment samples, the plan being to find the ones that suited me best and that I wanted to have fullsize. My favourite samples were Vanilla, Naked and Tan.

Fast forward to my trip to MAC. Since I live so far away from my nearest MAC counter (seven hour drive), almost six months had passed from buying the pigment samples. I tried Chocolate Brown. Absolutely adored it! Wanted it. Out of stock, so sorry. Vanilla? Out of stock, so sorry. Naked? Out of stock, so sorry. Tan? Out of stock, so sorry.

After an initial swatch of Violet, I completely fell in love with it and decided it should come home with me. After buying the pigment and eight eyeshadow refills, I started thinking. Wouldn’t it be stupid to have one jar of pigment with the old design, knowing the design was about to change? (the lady at MAC, by the way, didn’t like that I pointed that out). I decided to go back for more, and this time Cornflower came with me.

I wanted the first look I did with Violet to be vibrant and bright, so I paired it with Stars n Rockets and Sushi Flower:

Products used:

  • Urban Decay primer potion
  • MAC Paintpot in Painterly on the crease and brow bone
  • MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl on lid
  • MAC pigment in Violet on lid
  • MAC eyeshadows in Stars n Rockets (crease), Sushi Flower (upper crease), Phloof! (tear duct and just below the browbone), Blanc Type (brow highlight), Cork (brows)
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Mushroom (from Alice in Wonderland palette and Book of Shadows II, on lower lashline)
  • Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Oil Slick on lower lashline and waterline
  • Urban Decay liquid liner in Perversion
  • Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara
